What we love:
What we like about this design is the small form factor is easy under the microscope. We like that it is smaller, modular and rubber coated heat blocks that can easily be turned on the side to see the exact placement of your chip under the scope. We like that it grows with you. Rather than having to buy a new preheater for each new board style, you can just order a new plug in heating block.
What we don't love:
What we don't like about this model is that on the CPU heater block the screwed on pins fall off easily--be careful of them, and plan to modify or replace them with something else. We also don't like that it can't be calibrated (unlike our other recommendation, big red), and the temperature on ours is 20C offset from our calibrated preheaters which is huge. You will have to determine a relative working zone and work out your ideal temperatures on some donor boards.
